Megan Mitzelfelt
Dedicated to serving Southern California communities, Public Information Officer (PIO) Megan Mitzelfelt offers her time and energy to a number of professional and philanthropic organizations. Through the Tri-Community Co-op, Megan Mitzelfelt advocates for environmentally friendly agricultural practices that lead to the buying and selling of local, fresh, and sustainable produce. Megan Mitzelfelt additionally upholds the principles of the Sierra Club, a grassroots group devoted to protecting the earth’s ecosystems and resources while educating others to do the same.
In addition to her affiliations with environmental organizations, Megan Mitzelfelt charitably contributes to Disabled American Veterans, a nonprofit group that assists disabled war veterans and their families with benefit claims, medical care, and other related services. Megan Mitzelfelt also supports California’s theater community through her association with local theater companies.
Possessing a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, Megan Mitzelfelt has built a career in media communications and, over the years, has obtained positions as a Public Relations Consultant, a Journalist for the San Bernardino County Sun, and a Staff Writer at the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. Currently, Megan Mitzelfelt excels in a role as a PIO for the San Bernardino County Fire Department, serving as a spokesperson to the public and the media, and specializing in crisis and emergency situations.
