Barack Ochondo’s career in computer engineering is centered on his in-depth knowledge of such industry-leading platforms as Maximo. With a strong ability to apprehend new system configurations, he has functioned as a lead engineer and team member on a variety of projects for large-scale organizations. His past employers have included the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Barack Ochondo has worked in asset configuration management, plant maintenance, information technology (IT) assets, the aircraft industry, and the realm of government furnished property.

Highly specialized and versatile, Barack Ochondo has successfully navigated the ever-changing IT industry. His experience with Maximo software is probably the best example of his ability to move from one environment to another and acquire more skills over time. Used for asset life cycle management and maintenance, Maximo is part of a family of derived platforms such as Tivoli Asset Management, DataSplice Mobile Suite, and Syclo Mobile Suite. Barack Ochondo is also comfortable moving from one operating system to another, and can manage Linux platforms, Windows servers, Visio, Lotus Notes, HP UNIX, and many other systems.

Due to the variety of assignments Barack Ochondo has fulfilled, he knows many programming languages, tools, and applications, including Maximo version 2.0, Actuate versions 7 and 8, Crystal Reports, PL/SQL, SQL, and Brio. Databases also constitute an important part of Barack Ochondo's work, and he is familiar with managing MS Access, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Sybase environments. Over the years, he has earned various certification degrees. He is a Cisco Certified Network Associate and a Microsoft Certified Professional.

An active member of Lifeways Anglican Church in Houston, Barack Ochondo has spent time mentoring local youth. Originally from Kenya, he supports the Kenyan Diaspora Peace Council. An avid reader, Barack Ochondo enjoys the Bible as well as such classics of social commentary as Animal Farm and Things Fall Apart.
