Royal Holiday
In addition to choosing from five membership levels, Royal Holiday clients can take advantage of a number of optional benefits. Members who make 6 consecutive timely payments on their membership fee receive a 3% discount on subsequent monthly charges. For these members, known as Distinguished Members, Royal Holiday also offers exclusive promotional offers and deals via e-mail.
Royal Holiday members may also elect to participate in the Resort Condominiums International (RCI) program, which allows them to trade their holiday credits for stays in any of 6,000 resorts in over 100 countries. All clients receive this benefit at no charge during their first year of membership. After the first year, Royal Holiday advisors can assist members in opting out of RCI or continuing it for a fee.
One of the benefits of Royal Holiday membership at any level is the ability to use holiday credits to book vacations for friends or family without surrendering membership or turning it over to someone else. In addition, members may be able to use their credits to book stays at summer camps for the younger members of their family. Royal Holiday camps offer outdoor activities, multicultural surroundings, and even opportunities for children to learn a second language.
Clients who find themselves unable to use their Royal Holiday credits, even after rolling them over to the following year, may be eligible to rent them out through RentSure. Memberships with credit balances of 30,000 or more may activate this optional benefit for a yearly fee, with no limitations on the number of consecutive years they may participate. Royal Holiday clients may rent up to 30,000 credits each year, in blocks of 15,000 at a time, for $500 each.
When making reservations, Royal Holiday members may also purchase optional ASSIST-CARD travel assistance. This program operates in 102 countries, providing access to reservation cancellation, 24-hour emergency medical help, and assistance with lost luggage and documents.
