Gary Danehower
In 1993, Gary Danehower received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. Following his education, Mr. Danehower has held a number of positions specializing in reliability engineering, strategic account management, and sales. These job titles include Consulting Engineer, Senior District Manager, Sales and Marketing Representative, Regional Sales Director, and Strategic Account Manager. He currently works at SKF as the Strategic Account Manager, maintaining commercial relationships with Kimberly-Clark, Georgia-Pacific, and ArcelorMittal. In this role, Gary Danehower manages over $18 million in global aftermarket sales. His accomplishments at the company consist of attaining a 32% year over year average sales growth for Kimberly-Clark (2005 to 2010); developing virtual SKF sales teams, customer relationships, account sales, and development strategies; and managing multi-level customer relationships and preferred partnership agreements. His previous employers include Vertical Alliance, Autorepairshop.com, and Entek IRD International.
Through his 17 years of experience in the field, Gary Danehower has received multiple training certifications and achievement honors. He maintains a Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification and received training in Miller Heiman Large Account Management Process, Miller Heiman Strategic Selling methodologies, and Solution Selling while employed at SKF and Vertical Alliance. In 1997, 1998, and 1999, he received the Presidents Club Award while carrying out duties as the Senior District Manager at Entek IRD International. Mr. Danehower possesses an active membership with Strategic Account Managers Association (SAMA) and serves in the Maintenance and Reliability division of the Paper Industry Management Association (PIMA).
In his nonworking hours, Gary Danehower takes part in community service activities with Valley Point Church and the Brandywine Youth Organization. Additionally, Mr. Danehower donates to Goodwill Industries International and JAARS, Inc. An active drummer and formerly in the band, Emerald City, for three years and a former member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, he now focuses his activities around family life, with his wife of 16 years and 3 daughters. Gary Danehower also enjoys international travel, golf, racquetball, and church activities as well as boating, running, and weightlifting.
