Dr. Craig Barkley
Urologist and physician Dr. Craig Barkley holds four certifications in various aspects of surgery, including robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and an American Urological Association Board certification. Dr. Craig Barkley belongs to the Zollinger Surgical Society, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, Inc., the Florida Urological Society, and the Large Urology Group Practice Association.
Dr. Craig Barkley functions as a Physician at Urology Specialists of West Florida, LLP, where he sees patients dealing with urological issues such as impotence and incontinence. Dr. Barkley has also performed hundreds of robotic surgeries and performed the first laparoscopic nephrectomy. In addition to his professional role at the Urology Specialists of West Florida, Dr. Barkley serves as an Advisor to the Pinellas County chapter of the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc., and as a member of the Medical Staff Quality Committee and the Oncology Committee at Morton Plant Hospital.
With decades of experience, Dr. Craig Barkley has shared his expertise through lectures at colleges and hospital resource centers. His research includes studies on erectile dysfunction, incontinence, and robotic prostatectomy.
Dr. Craig Barkley holds an M.D. from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Before completing his medical degree, he earned a B.S. in Finance from Indiana State University. Utilizing his knowledge of finance, he facilitated a buyout that resulted in the expansion of his practice, Urology Specialists of West Florida. The organization now has multiple locations throughout Florida.
Beyond caring for his patients, Dr. Barkley contributes his time and resources to charities such as the Children’s Home Society of Florida. In addition, his wife, Sandra Marie, serves as the Chairperson for the organization.
