Carlos Legaspy
Carlos Legaspy has established himself as a valuable player in the financial services industry with a multifaceted career and comprehensive education. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Carlos Legaspy began his training at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico. While completing a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Mr. Legaspy refined his communication skills as a reporter for a Monterrey newspaper before securing a paid internship with IBM Corporation as an Analyst and Programmer. Working at the company’s Latin America headquarters, Mr. Legaspy demonstrated a thorough knowledge of computer programming languages. While with IBM, Carlos Legaspy completed the complex task of reprogramming an entire inventory system before implementing it in three countries.
Following his time with IBM, Carlos Legaspy embarked on a career in the financial sector, where he has remained for the past 20 years. Carlos Legaspy made an immediate impact upon accepting the position of Senior Vice President for Serfin Securities, Inc., fulfilling his duties in both New York City and San Antonio, Texas. While with the company, Mr. Legaspy paved the way for great success, growing assets from $10 million to almost $1 billion while dealing in Brady bonds and working with emerging market nations. Moreover, Carlos Legaspy assisted Serfin Securities in opening its first branch in the United States, which was also the first American branch of any Mexican broker-dealer. After five years with Serfin Securities, he then spent six years with Investment Placement Group in San Diego as a Managing Director with the brokerage firm. Continuing to generate the same level of success he experienced with Serfin Securities, Mr. Legaspy led Investment Placement Group to a $295 million increase in assets over a period of 6 years.
After moving on to manage complicated bankruptcy negotiations for Intelligenics, Inc., in New York City, Carlos Legaspy was recruited by Precise Investment Management. Mr. Legaspy has spent nearly a decade with the company, which has since merged with another entity to form Precise Holdings, LLC. As President of Precise Holdings, Carlos Legaspy oversees a talented team of financial experts in advising clients through the process of corporate restructuring. Mr. Legaspy resides in San Diego and is available to take on new projects all over the world. Mr. Legaspy also is an International Account Executive for Precise Securities, a division of Horwitz and Associates, Inc., a FINRA member broker-dealer dealing in a wide array of financial products.
