Sean Rousseau
Reverend Sean Rousseau joined the Episcopal Church in 2010 and became an Episcopal Priest after serving 15 years as a Roman Catholic Priest with the Catholic Diocese of Arlington in Virginia. Until he receives a parish position from the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, Reverend Rousseau is serving as Interim Assistant Rector at Christ Episcopal Church in Winchester, Virginia.
Reverend Sean Rousseau grew up in Annandale, Virginia, and attended Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, Overbrook in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Systematic Theology in 1994. During his seminary years, Reverend Sean Rousseau completed several internships, such as teaching classes at Archbishop Ryan School for Deaf Children in Norwood and at Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic High School in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Reverend Rousseau also undertook a series of ministries, including two summers in a parish ministry at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Key West, Florida; a jail ministry at Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Boyds; a chaplain ministry at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; a deacon summer parish ministry at The Parish of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Fredericksburg, Virginia; and a deacon year parish ministry at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania.
Reverend Sean Rousseau was ordained as a Roman Catholic Priest in 1995. The Catholic Diocese of Arlington posted him in several positions in Virginia during his career. He first served as an Associate Priest at Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church in Fairfax, then at Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church in Leesburg. His final posts as an Associate Priest were served at Annandale’s Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Alexandria’s Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Reverend Rousseau took the role of Priest at Saint Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Middleburg and at Corpus Christi Catholic Mission in South Riding.
