Hans-Christer Holgersson

Hans-Christer Holgersson wields a wealth of experience in the automotive industry that would make a racecar driver blush, but instead of getting behind the wheel himself, Holgersson manages the actions of one of the biggest commercial vehicle producers in the entire world. As Managing Director of Scania UK, the Swedish-born Holgersson is responsible for all activities the global corporation undertakes within the United Kingdom. Holgersson has proven he can handle this responsibility, with an impressive track record that dates back to his position leading the financial direction of Scania Brazil in 1985. After extensive work in Brazil and Spain, Holgersson returned to this home country in 1993 to serve as Managing Director of Scania Finance. Holgersson would eventually head back to South America in 1999 to lead Scania Argentina. Holgersson enjoyed great success in Argentina and was promoted to President and CEO of Scania production in all of Latin America. Holgersson was always a skilled operations leader in the Americas, and was honored by Autodata and Carta Capital as the most admired business leader within Brazil's automotive industry. Holgersson’s leadership also helped Scania become Brazil’s most admired company in 2004 and 2002. Scania received this prestigious award in Sao Paulo under the support of Brazilian president Luis Ignacio Lula da Silva. Hans-Christer Holgersson has consistently shown increased customer improvement, pushing his department to think creatively to provide solutions for corporate problems, and the success he has created is a testament to his skill and dedication to Scania. Holgersson has served a dizzying amount of roles for Scania including Group Vice President of Scania CV AB and Director of the Scania Group Executive Board, positions he held from 2006 to 2007. Holgersson has maintained his pride for Swedish life by holding important leadership roles in the Swedish Chamber of Commerce. Holgersson served in the Swedish Chamber of Commerce councils in the United Kingdom, Brazil and Argentina, helping to provide important liaison services between countries.
