Darin Andersen
Darin Andersen not only has a flourishing career in business Technology, but he also demonstrates a large passion for getting involved in his community. Andersen is an advocate of donating his time and energy to numerous charitable organizations. He is an Executive Committee member and keynote speaker for AeA San Diego, an advisor to UCSD Extension’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, and to The San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (San Diego Police Foundation). Mr. Andersen has also been an honoree speaker for the Hollywood and Los Angeles Chambers of Commerce, the Los Angeles Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce and his alma mater, Claremont McKenna College. Panel and press interviews that Andersen has conducted include the Wall Street Journal, San Diego Business Journal, bizSanDiego Magazine, Austin Sentinel, Atlanta Constitution, Monster.com, Computer Reseller News, Intelligent Enterprise, Information Week, Web Tech as well as numerous other local and online publications. Mr. Andersen has been actively involved in business, sales and operations for over 15 years. His most current position is with ESET, a leading security software company stationed in San Diego that develops software solutions that deliver instant, comprehensive protection against evolving computer security threats. ESET has pioneered this field and continues to lead the industry in proactive threat detection. Andersen takes on the key role as the Chief Operating Officer at ESET, where he oversees all day-to-day business with multiple international, sales and marketing projects for biotech and high tech. Andersen conveys a broad knowledge of business systems modeling, reengineering, connectivity infrastructure, IT hardware and software, which ultimately leads to him being such a success in this industry.
