Between 1972 and 1995, Mr. Iskra worked for a Western, Pennsylvania home improvement product company formerly known as KoolVent, Inc., which later operated as The KoolVent Group Inc. (KVGI). At KoolVent, Inc., Gary Iskra rose from his initial sales position to become the corporation’s President and CEO in a leveraged buyout funded by Westinghouse Credit Corp. In 1999, Iskra became the Chairman and CEO of American Home Improvement Company (AHIC) and combined The KoolVent Group’s retail operations with Sears’ retail operations, creating the largest home improvement corporation nationwide.
