Yukio Iraha
Yukio Iraha began his educational career by completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious Pacific Northwest College of Art School, located in scenic Portland, Oregon. The BFA program from Pacific Northwest prepares students for careers in their chosen artistic discipline. While Iraha attended art school, he followed an intensive curriculum that featured studio experience with a grounding in basic techniques that moved to critical study and culminated in the development of an independent style. Yukio Iraha is not the first one to say that he originally found his style while he was growing up copying cartoons or photos from magazines. Having widely been inspired by pop culture media and the buzz surrounding it, in an era of submersion into this over-stimulating and materialistic world, Iraha found himself inevitably drawing inspiration and styles from the images around him. Yukio Iraha knew his destiny called for him to be an artist. Today, many of Mr. Iraha’s paintings include water-based acrylics on wood panels. Iraha usually conveys an impressionist undertone in his paintings.
