Board certified in podiatric medicine and podiatric surgery, Dr. Jeffrey Adler, DPM followed the course set by his father, Dr. Merwin S. Adler, DPM, who allowed the junior Dr. Adler to begin his medical training as a 16-year-old apprentice. After graduating magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Dr. Jeffrey Adler, DPM enrolled in the nation’s premier school for future foot doctors: the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Jeffrey Adler, DPM received his degree in 1979, and after a brief preceptorship in Brooklyn, began private practice.
One of only 12 professors of minimally invasive foot surgery worldwide, Dr. Jeffrey Adler, DPM teaches the surgical procedure throughout the world. As a member of a team of American doctors traveling to China as part of a U.S. State Department mission, Dr. Jeffrey Adler performed the first foot surgery by an American in China since before World War II.
Magazines, such as Harper’s Bazaar and New York Magazine, have featured Dr. Jeffrey Adler, DPM, who also spoke about foot care as a guest of The Morning Show with Regis Philbin.
