Steve Arbaugh

With 30 years of industry experience, Mr. Arbaugh applies his skills to help clients achieve success in the complex and constantly changing government and private health insurance markets. In 2005, Steve Arbaugh joined ACG, where he acts as Practice Director of the firm’s Health Plan Management and Government Program Groups. Founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 2003, ACG maintains a lengthy client list consisting of prominent companies and organizations across the United States.
Prior to acting as a founding member of ACG, Steve Arbaugh spent years aiding distressed health plans, restoring stability by initiating effective new strategies and directing restructuring efforts. Mr. Arbaugh serves as a respected authority on a variety of matters related government health care programs and regulatory compliance. Steve Arbaugh frequently receives invitations to speak at national conferences on health care operations and Medicare.
An alumnus of Michigan State University, Steve Arbaugh received his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, graduating with honors. In 1989, Mr. Arbaugh accepted a role as Executive Director at Care Choices Health Plans, turning around that plan to restore profitability and provider relationships while growing membership faster than any competitor in the market. Steve Arbaugh was recruited to the restructuring and business formation consulting practice at The Pace Group, Inc., in 1992. He remained with The Pace Group for seven years. Steve Arbaugh then held a series of leadership positions with various companies from 1999 to 2002, serving as Chief Executive Officer of FirstCare Health Plans and Chief Operating Officer of MethodistCare Health Plan, both in Texas. In 2004, he briefly left ATTAC Consulting Group to serve as Executive Vice President of Gorman Health Group, LLC, returning in 2005 as ACG’s Managing Principal.
