Bodies Built Fitness

Bodies Built Fitness owner and operator Mary Talieh has over five years experience as a personal fitness trainer. Upon earning her accreditation from the American Council on Exercise, the Ann Arbor, Michigan, resident began training groups and individuals in healthy living habits and running fitness courses for the local offices of a Fortune 500 company.

In 2005, Talieh founded Bodies Built Fitness to focus on her career as a fitness and nutritional trainer. She is certified in CPR for adults, children, and infants, as well as in the use of AEDs. She is accredited in senior fitness by SrFit and certified in personal training by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. From 2010 to 2011, Talieh served as a personal trainer at Anytime Fitness in Ann Arbor, where she was responsible for evaluating the health and fitness of new members, providing one-on-one training, and leading group fitness classes.

At Bodies Built Fitness, Talieh conducts in-home, one-on-one training sessions with her clients. She is an expert in corrective exercises, including the identification of abnormalities of the muscles, joints, and posture. She specializes in developing highly individualized and systematic exercise programs that improve flexibility, core strength, balance, strength, power, and cardio-respiratory health. She also offers rehabilitation training programs.

Prior to launching Bodies Built Fitness, Talieh received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Iowa State University and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. While working toward her medical degree, Talieh balanced her studies by volunteering at a local pediatrics unit and participating on the Board of Directors for the Rape Victim Advocacy Program of Iowa City, Iowa. From 1996 to 2005, she volunteered as a homecare provider for people with disabilities and as a Meals on Wheels driver and logistics coordinator.
