Steve Gayheart

Stephen Gayheart, a business leader currently residing in Florida’s Tampa/St. Petersburg area, earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of Richmond. Soon after graduating college, he began working as Manager for the Vangaud Lab at Owens & Minor, Inc., in Glasgow, Kentucky. While working for Owens & Minor, Mr. Gayheart directed production, sales, and purchasing functions and substantially increased company revenues.

In 1986, Stephen Gayheart left Owens & Minor and became the owner of International Laboratories, Inc., a pharmaceutical company in St. Petersburg, Florida. Overseeing International Laboratories for 12 years, Mr. Gayheart led the company through a profitable acquisition before moving on to his next ownership position at Biddiscombe Laboratories, a cosmetics and lotions developer in Clearwater, Florida, in 1998. He subsequently sold Biddiscombe Laboratories at a substantial profit.

Stephen Gayheart also established Gayheart Pharmaceutical, Inc., in 1998. The corporation makes specialty pharmaceutical packaging using a variety of methods including high speed bottling, heat sealing, blister packing, and more. Mr. Gayheart’s company also provides cosmetic packaging, cartoning services, and custom tooling. He functions as CEO and COO, providing leadership in the areas of sales, production, quality control, and finance.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Gayheart is affiliated with the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, American Nutrition Association, and National Institutes of Health. He also contributes to nonprofit organizations such as United Way, the American Cancer Society, and Habitat for Humanity.
