Douglas Leet

Douglas Leet, MD, a Fellow of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, possesses more than 30 years of experience as a physician. At present, he assists patients as a Partner at Associated Urologists of North Carolina, a group of five practices devoted to urological care. Dr. Leet directs the Urodynamics Lab at North Carolina Urological Associates, a role he has fulfilled since 1981.

At North Carolina Urological Associates, Douglas Leet offers a range of treatment options for both men and women. For men, he performs vasectomies, corrects hypospadias, and assists patients who are experiencing erectile dysfunction. For women, Dr. Leet treats urinary incontinence, kidney stones, urinary tract infections, pelvic reconstruction, and more. In every procedure or treatment, he and his fellow physicians remain committed to providing superior patient care. The practice accepts a number of insurance carriers, including Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare.

Douglas Leet stays current with the latest developments in urological care by holding membership in several professional medical groups, including the American Urological Association, the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology (SUFU), and the North Carolina Medical Society. Dr. Leet has taken part in numerous conferences and symposia over the course of his career, including the Pediatric Grand Rounds at Wake Medical Center and Rex Hospital, both located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Since obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Leet has researched kidney stone removal, scrotal masses, prostate disease, and numerous other subjects.

Douglas Leet holds an MD from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine and a BS from Michigan State University. He completed his internship and residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he held the position of Chief Resident before joining his current practice.
