No Greater Joy Ministries
Non-profit ministry No Greater Joy Ministries arose from the aspiration of founders and long-time ministry partners Mike and Debi Pearl to share their Christian faith with others. The Pearls have raised five homeschooled children who are in turn raising nineteen homeschooled children of their own, and they felt uniquely qualified to write the books and other materials about child training now available from No Greater Joy Ministries. Additionally, Mike Pearl has served as a pastor, and he has ministered in many hospital settings. Mike also ministers weekly in various Tennessee prisons.
Believing that Biblical guidelines and common sense are a sound foundation for raising a child, Mike along with his wife Debi penned To Train Up a Child in 1994. Now a staple among the numerous books, magazines, and electronic publications from No Greater Joy, over 670,000 copies remain in print between the English and Spanish language versions. The book has also been translated into 12 other languages. Working in conjunction with former Marvel Comics illustrator Danny Bulanadi, the Pearls labored for seven years on their bestselling Good & Evil illustrated Bible storybook. A winner of the 2009 Independent Publisher Bronze Medal, this illustrated 330-page compilation of Bible stories is currently available in 30 languages.
A bi-monthly magazine is available at no cost from No Greater Joy Ministries, along with a wealth of additional information pertaining to child training, homeschooling, and other family issues from a faith-based perspective. Featuring over 100 focused discussions, these materials offer guidance about such issues as sibling rivalry, potty training, low self-esteem, challenging authority, and myriad other parental concerns. In total, the organization's various print and e-publications cover as many as 500 specific subjects. The media made available by No Greater Joy is available through over 600 distributors in 48 states and 14 countries.
