Rick Domeier
An accomplished stage, screen, and television personality, Rick Domeier has been able to balance the demands of the entertainment industry with his first priority: his family. Raised in Minnesota and now living in the Tri-State area, Rick Domeier is taking the memories of his youth and creating new ones with his two sons. Rick Domeier is the volunteer coach for his sons’ football team, the Marsh Creek Eagles. Growing up active in sports, Domeier enjoyed the outdoors and the camaraderie of playing for a team, and he is eager to have his sons experience the same opportunities. Rick Domeier is also an active volunteer with his local YMCA chapter as an Adventure Guide, and through his support of Habitat for Humanity and the American Diabetes Association, Rick Domeier has instilled in his sons the importance of giving back to the community. Rick Domeier’s exposure as a television personality has allowed him to participate in many foundation opportunities, including acting as the Master of Ceremonies for the International Housewares Association Foundations charity dinner. The IHA aims to connect, inform, support, and enable its international membership to lead the global housewares marketplace. As a housewares expert on QVC, Rick Domeier finds it easy to connect with his audiences. After appearing on The Young and the Restless, St. Elsewhere, and in the cult-classic horror movie Evil Dead II, Rick Domeier was asked to audition for QVC. QVC reviewed Domeier’s Pontiac, Isuzu, and Goodyear commercials and his pilot for an electronic retailing show, and he landed the job of permanent host in April 1995. Since then, Domeier has enjoyed numerous successes as host, producer, and television show creator of QVC hits like The QVC Cook-Off and Home Projects with Rick and Dan. Domeier is currently creating and producing the first online “shop opera” starring Joan Rivers.
