David Dominic Scali

David Dominic Scali currently works at the Esquire #1-rated StripSTEAK steakhouse, located in the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, NV. As an employee of StripSTEAK, David Dominic Scali derives great pleasure from providing the best customer service and dining experience he possibly can. Scali believes the ambiance of StripSTEAK, combined with the bright lights and vibrant energy of Las Vegas are a winning combination with his outgoing and positive personality. Though he enjoys his job at StripSTEAK, David Dominic Scali has greater goals and aspirations. Mr. Scali is currently attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where he is pursuing an amazing feat: to complete a mind-blowing five bachelors’ degrees at the College of Business at UNLV. His goal is to have the five undergraduate degrees completed within five years, and his estimated college graduation date is fall 2009. Go Dominic! At UNLV, Mr. Scali is an exemplary student and over-achiever. He has been a member of the National Honor Society since 2002 and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars since 2004. He currently holds a cumulative GPA of 3.6 and is a member of several college-level professional organizations, such as the American Marketing Association, Alpha Kappa Psi (a Professional Business Fraternity), and Toastmasters. In 2004, David Dominic Scali put his entrepreneurial spirit to the test when he participated in the ABC reality television series “The Benefactor,” starring Mark Cuban. The show featured 16 young entrepreneurs competing for a cash prize of a million dollars to fund their winning business idea. Of all the contestants, Dominic Scali was chosen as runner-up, lasting all six episodes, a feat of which he is quite proud. Dominic commented on his experience after his loss: “It is never fun to know you were only one person away from winning a million dollars.” However, still optimistic despite his loss, Dominic stated: “The experience and the knowledge I have not only gained from my discussions with Mark Cuban, but my experience here in Dallas I will carry with me for a lifetime. [Mark Cuban] is one of the most matter-of-fact, tell it like it is businesspeople you will ever meet, and I am happy to say he is now in my network of life-long friends and business acquaintances.” In 2008, David Dominic Scali co-founded the UNLV chapter of MEiSA (Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association) with fellow student and President Stacey Aragon. David Dominic Scali is the Vice President of MEiSA-LV, and through the organization, he and fellow members strive to create awareness about many often-overlooked social issues. By combining star power and the influence of the growing music and entertainment fields, Scali and Aragon are working to make the organization both a local and national success, as well as make it possible for members to be recognized with the Outstanding MEiSA Chapter Award. David Dominic Scali and Stacey Aragon formed MEiSA-LV with the combined goal of stimulating greater humanitarian activity in their community while also facilitating networks among music business majors and the instructors, trendsetters, and executives of the entertainment world. In his most recent entrepreneurial work at UNLV, David Dominic Scali and fellow student Tracy Marquart founded the social club UNLV Nightlife. The club is open to UNLV students, faculty, and alumni and features both nightlife and community service outings. UNLV Nightlife members are given exclusive access to the best Night Club/Entertainment venues in Las Vegas, providing students who want to make their way into the highly competitive Night Club/Entertainment business with a significant edge. When he is not studying or working, David Dominic Scali can often be found giving back to his community. He dedicates one day each week to the clean up of graffiti and litter in his Las Vegas community. Mr. Scali also volunteers at events for The Children's Heart Foundation and donates money to The Voice Foundation, a charity run by MGM Mirage.
