Ms. Carol Raffo, a resident of New Jersey, is an advocate for the greater New Jersey community and gives back as often as she can. While Ms. Carol Raffo was working at Telcordia Technologies, a communications and technology company located in Piscataway NJ, she offered support and assistance to the director of the Employee Assistant Program, in which Carol was extensively involved. Ms. Raffo’s efforts were a boon to the company, since she took on so many tasks that were vital to the day-to-day operations of the firm, including provider relations, training support, counseling, managing data, organizing materials and resources for the Program, and general administrative duties. Due to a lack of funding, the EAP program was closed in 2004. A college graduate, Carol “Cassie” Raffo was an active part of the campus community at Fairleigh Dickinson University, located in Madison, New Jersey. While she was working toward her degrees and earning a 4.0 GPA, Raffo was involved in the Psi Chi Honor Society and the Phi Omega Epsilon Honor Society, in addition to playing softball and competing with the ski club. At the university, Ms. Raffo earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in psychology in only four years, finishing school in 2003. Ms. Raffo demonstrates her charitable side by donating money to Planned Parenthood of Northern New Jersey, Boston University women's basketball team, and Woodlands Wildlife Refuge, a nonprofit agency based in New Jersey. When she is not busy in her New Jersey community, Carol Raffo heads to her home to Asbury to spend time with her family and friends or relax and read one of her favorite books: “The Da Vinci Code,” “The Mists of Avalon,” “Of Mice and Men,” “Pride and Prejudice,” or the latest book in the “Harry Potter” series.
