Craig Broeder
Passionate about fitness and wellness, Craig Broeder has spent most of his adult life promoting the health benefits of proper exercise and nutrition. Early in his academic career, Craig Broeder studied music and biology at the University of North Texas (formerly North Texas State University) on a music scholarship. After earning his degree in 1983, he completed a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition and Biology at the same school. In 1985, Mr. Broeder was accepted into the doctoral program in exercise physiology, metabolism, and health promotion at the University of Texas at Austin. Craig Broeder had the received the first Rockport Walking Institute Research Grant. Craig Broeder won the grant despite his being the only student applicant out of more than 100 submissions.
Craig Broeder is currently a member of the professional organizations Clinical Exercise Physiologists Association and American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Mr. Broeder was also inducted into Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society in 1993. He is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, the organization that oversees the Craig & Kay Broeder Preventive Health Female Cancer Fund.
When not working or exercising, Craig Broeder enjoys reading techno-thriller novels by Tom Clancy and listening to jazz. He attends The Compass Church in Naperville, Illinois.
