Carol Kiriakos

Licensed to practice medicine in California, Dr. Carol Kiriakos is a private practice Psychiatrist in Beverly Hills. She also serves as a Staff Psychiatrist with A New Journey Eating Disorder Center, where she assists clients with personal consultations and medication management advice. At her Beverly Hills office, she utilizes her expertise in psychotherapy and medication management to assist patients with an array of issues - depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, Panic, PTSD, generalized anxiety, disordered eating, and post-partum mood related issues. In addition to these roles, Dr. Kiriakos works as an Insurance Review Specialist for FOCUS Behavioral Health. She previously served on the psychiatric staff at various mental health clinics throughout the San Fernando Valley from 2005 to 2007.

Between 2001 and 2005, Dr. Carol Kiriakos completed comprehensive training that included two programs during her internship and residency period. After earning her MD in 2001, she completed a 1st year internship in adult psychiatry at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Toward the end of her internship at The Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Kiriakos secured the organization’s annual Marmoud Parsa Award for Excellence in Research at the Annual Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Conference.

Following her internship with The Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Carol Kiriakos completed her residency in adult psychiatry through the University of California UCLA Residency Training Program. During her residency, Dr. Kiriakos held a number of academic positions within the program. For the duration of her time at UCLA, she served as the Co-Coordinator of the “Psychiatry in the Media” Seminar for PGY1-4 residents. Concurrently, from 2003 to 2005, Dr. Kiriakos worked in several wards at Olive View Medical Center as a Staff Inpatient Psychiatrist.

In 2004, Dr. Carol Kiriakos accepted a position as a Group Therapist for the weekly psychodynamic psychotherapy group through the UCLA-San Fernando Valley program. During this period, she earned two significant research grants from the Lilly Grant Office of Eli Lilly and Company. Dr. Kiriakos received a grant to attend the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Annual Meeting New York City. Later that year, she earned a grant to travel to the American Psychiatric Association/Institute for the Psychological Sciences’ “Chief Resident As Manager” Awards Conference. Dr. Carol Kiriakos completed her academic appointments with a year-long term as Administrative Chief Resident in Psychiatry through the UCLA-San Fernando Valley program.
