Bruce Alonso

Employing the experience gained by working directly as a manager of his family’s coffee and tea import business, United Coffee & Tea, Bruce Alonso entered into the financial industry as an independent professional in 1980, when he began his career at Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. After selling United Coffee & Tea, located in Tampa, Florida, Mr. Alonso served Morgan and Stanley as the Southeast Regional Manager, a role in which he oversaw thousands of employees and financial advisors spread across a significant number of individual branch offices. Eventually, Bruce Alonso earned a promotion to the position of Eastern Division Manager, drastically increasing the number of employees, financial advisors, and branches for which he was responsible. With this marked increase in management responsibilities, his extensive dedication and achievements resulted in his promotion to the position of National Sales Director at the company. Through this position, Bruce Alonso provided oversight, leadership, and guidance to the nearly 450 branches of the company throughout the United States.

Bruce Alonso graduated summa cum laude from the Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, Georgia, a part of the larger Emory University, in 1972. Today, Bruce Alonso is retired, though he continues to assist a number of boards and committees in his local community in some capacity as a financial advisor or treasurer. These tasks include a role on the Board of Directors of the Homeowner’s Association for the golf community Country Club of the South, which is located north of Atlanta, Georgia, as the Board’s Treasurer. Bruce Alonso also serves the Finance Community of his nearby parish. When not involved in community activities, he enjoys golfing and embarking on fishing trips.
