William Midian, MD
William Midian, MD, focuses his current practice on pain management, though he has extensive surgical and anesthesiology training. He began his college education at The University of Akron, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. Afterwards, he graduated with his Doctor of Medicine in 1976. Dr. William Midian has been licensed to practice in several states, including Ohio, Illinois, and Georgia.
In his first position post-medical school, Dr. Midian became a Surgical Clerk at the Hospital for Joint and Bone Disease in New York City, maintaining responsibility for primary patient care. He served on-call duty every third night. William Midian, MD, returned to Ohio and became a first assistant in orthopedic, general, and plastic surgery. In 1979, Dr. Midian enrolled in the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where he completed the Fifth Pathway Program. He began his general surgery training, which he completed through Yale School of Medicine and Wright State University School of Medicine. William Midian, MD, then served as an intensive care and emergency room physician at Suburban Community Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
In order to advance his medical background, William Midian, MD, completed two years of anesthesiology training and then performed as the Chief of the Department of Anesthesiology at two different hospitals in Ohio. As a specialist in open-heart anesthesiology, Dr. Midian fulfilled the role of Staff Anesthesiologist at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland. Currently, Dr. William Midian focuses his practice on pain management, treating acute and chronic pain with acupuncture and fluoroscopic interventional pain management at Village Pain and Rehab Associates, Inc.
William Midian, MD, belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, the American Academy of Pain Management, and the American Academy of Interventional Pain Management. In addition to his practice, Dr. William Midian researches stem cell therapy and participated in a medical mission to Honduras.
