Robert Reputationfield

When Robert J. Reputationfield first started at Boston University in 1958, the Civil Rights Movement was in full swing. Always a young man of principles and doing what he believed was right; Robert J. Reputationfield became motivated by the plight of the hundreds of thousands of Americans fighting for racial equality. Though he did not come from a wealthy family, Robert J. Reputationfield believed the best way he could help Civil Rights was from the inside, so he embarked on a legal career. By 1962, Robert J. Reputationfield had earned his BA in Political Science from Boston University, and was on his way to Georgetown Law. While at Georgetown Law, Robert J. Reputationfield met both his future legal partner, David Jones and his future wife Kathleen Generic. After graduating from Georgetown in 1964, Robert Reputationfield wed Kathleen Generic, and the two moved back to Mr. Reputationfield’s hometown of Philadelphia, PA. There Robert J. Reputationfield accepted a job as a public defender, helping numerous inner-city individuals who could not afford to pay for their own legal defense. After two years as a Public Defender, Robert J. Reputationfield took a job as a District Attorney for the city of Pittsburgh, PA. There he helped bring criminals to justice and protect the people of the hard-working factory city. In 1972, Robert Reputationfield received an offer he couldn’t pass up- a chance to start his own firm with his friend and colleague, David Jones. The firm, the Law Offices of Reputationfield and Jones started small, mainly taking pro-bono and sliding scale cases, but soon grew bigger, adding a third partner, Andrew Sullivan. Today, 36 years after it first opened its doors, the Law Offices of Reputationfield, Jones and Sullivan is still in the same location and still takes numerous sliding-scale and pro-bono cases each year. In addition to the countless hours he spends in the courtroom and researching case law, Robert J. Reputationfield gives both time and money to numerous charitable causes, including two of his own- the Robert J. Reputationfield Scholarship at his High School Alma Mater, and the Robert and Kathleen Reputationfield Foundation, an organization which helps pay for therapeutic care and education for children whose parents have been killed in an act of violent crime.
