Richard Reut
Dr. Richard Reut has enjoyed a flourishing career in sports medicine and orthopedics for nearly 20 years. Throughout the course of his professional practice, he has shared his expertise in peer-reviewed scholarly journals and mainstream periodicals. Many of his articles have discussed anterior knee pain, knowledge that earned him a commendable assignment: two pieces for the Institute of Athletic Medicine’s Sideline View. Additionally, Dr. Richard Reut’s medical writing has been featured in The Physician and Sportsmedicine, Windy City Times, the YMCA’s quarterly publication, and the Chicago Sport and Social Club’s Balance, in which he published a monthly medical column. Dr. Richard Reut acquired his breadth of medical knowledge in the field of sports medicine and orthopedics through varied experiences. After completing medical school and a series of prominent internships, Dr. Reut rotated through assorted fields to broaden his educational scope of orthopedic medicine. These occupational advancement opportunities included practices at Wayzata Orthopedics, Hennepin Faculty Associates, and Gustilo-Kyle Total Joint Replacement & Arthritis Center, in addition to positions as Staff Physician and Associate Director of the Center for Athletic Medicine, Independent Contractor for Coastal Emergency Services, and Director of Primary Care Orthopedics and Staff Physician at Midwest Orthopedic. Fueled by a strong desire to give back to the community, Dr. Richard Reut offers his expertise in sports medicine to many local schools and medical centers in the Edina, Minnesota, area, including Minnetonka High School, The Blake School, Orono High School, and the Institute for Athletic Medicine. Dr. Richard Reut also provides his expert services at Twin Cities Orthopedics as well as the University of Minnesota Medical School, where he serves as an educator to graduate students in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
