Keith Samples
Possessing three decades of experience managing projects in the entertainment industry, Keith Samples operates as a consultant, director, producer, and writer for television shows in Canada and the United States. This year, he has directed three episodes of the Canadian television series Republic of Doyle and served as a consulting producer for an episode of another Canadian series, Being Human. Within the last decade, Keith Samples has provided production services to four other projects and directed episodes of more than 15 different television shows. Keith Samples’ portfolio of television experience includes work on popular series such as Dawson’s Creek, Felicity, The O.C., Reba, and One Tree Hill. Films he produced include Private Parts, Big NIght, Walking Tall, Kingpin, It Takes Two, House Arrest, and Election. Over the course of his career, Keith Samples has completed projects for a breadth of networks ranging from The CW Television Network, ABC TV, and the FOX Broadcasting Company to Comedy Central, Lifetime Networks, and Home Box Office, Inc. (HBO). Initially launching his career via sports entertainment, Keith Samples operated as Executive Vice President of Sports Productions, Inc., where he produced and distributed live sports programming to the USA Network and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS), among others. Keith Samples subsequently transitioned into scripted programming, joining Lorimar-Telepictures as Senior Vice President and then working for Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. when the latter company acquired the former. A leader in his field, Keith Samples has also presided as Founder and CEO of Rysher Entertainment; President of VKS Entertainment, Inc.; and President of MRC Television, a Media Rights Capital company. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas Tech University and maintains an active presence in his professional community through memberships in the Writers Guild of America, West; the Directors Guild of America (DGA); the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
