Arthur Schiel
Philadelphia native Arthur Schiel possesses a background in investments and economic history that makes him a reliable source for those looking to have their investments managed properly based on previous and future market trends. After graduating from Cheltenham High School in 1966, he began attending classes at Lehigh University with a wealth of interests, graduating with honors in 1970 with degrees in business, economics, and history. Looking to narrow his area of study, Arthur Schiel earned his Master of Arts with some work toward his Ph.D. in Economic History while also serving as a graduate assistant for a year.
Commencing work for Bridgeport Federal Savings Bank as a Management Trainee in 1978, Arthur Schiel completed his education, earning his Master of Business Administration in 1980. Using his degree and his growing portfolio of experience working with finances, Arthur Schiel was promoted repeatedly at Bridgeport Federal Savings Bank, and by 1991, he held the position of Chief Financial/Investment Officer. Arthur Schiel left his long-time employer, and the next year he created Avalon Financial Management, of which he is owner and sole proprietor. He works closely with his clients, managing their investment portfolios through all manners of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. Though he primarily works with clients within his state, Arthur Schiel’s reputation draws clients from across the country of various ages and economic backgrounds. A registered advisory firm with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Avalon Financial Management and Arthur Schiel handle roughly $50 million in cumulative assets. Arthur Schiel, his wife Lisa, and their three children currently reside in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
