Paul Geller
Paul Geller is well known in the Florida music and club scene (under the stage name Pauly Crush) for having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. Currently, Crush has several weekly and monthly residencies across the state and frequently plays gigs throughout the U.S. Crush got his start in 1996 when he was a member of the emo/ hardcore band, Keepsake. As a member of Keepsake, he was exposed to the various stages of record production, and was able to try his hand at many of them. This experimentation allowed him to have more creative control over his own albums as well as help out with the creative process on the albums of other indie musicians. It also helped him learn enough about the business of grassroots marketing that in 2005 he was able to use that knowledge and found Republic Promotion Co., a self described “guerrilla marketing” company, which employs many of the same techniques used in the marketing of indie artists to market a wide variety of different clientele, from musicians to politicians to products and services and everything in between. As the president and founder of Republic Promotion Co, Paul Geller takes a hands-on approach to all aspects of the day to day operations of the business. From the development of client portfolios to the creation of marketing campaign strategies, Geller takes part in it all. Currently working towards his MA in political science and public policy at the University of Central Florida, Geller holds a BA in the same from Florida Atlantic University. He also has a certificate in women’s studies, even having served as the vice president of the Orlando, FL chapter of the National Organization for Women (or NOW) from 2005-2006. No stranger to charitable causes, Paul Geller has also worked with the PS125 Reading Program, which pairs volunteers with children at underprivileged schools for individual tutoring and mentorship.
