Teodorico Haresco
Mr. Teodorico Haresco is a graduate of Manila’s De La Salle College and earned his Master’s degree in International Economics from Montreal, Canada’s McGill University in 1978. Mr. Haresco’s remarkably cosmopolitan and multi-national background is reflected in his broad-minded approach to solutions to issues in his own country of the Philippines. Faced with the daunting task of solving market connectivity issues in rural areas due to vast networks of waterways punctuating the country’s large arable tracts of land, Teodorico Haresco conceptualized and brought to fruition the Philippine’s President’s Bridge Program (PBP). The fundamental ideas behind the President’s Bridge Program have garnered international attention, and have been used to establish similar programs in countries around the globe, including Cambodia, Siberia, and Sri Lanka. In terms of his own business, Mr. Teodorico Haresco has both expanded his mother’s law firm and established Winace Holdings Philippines. Winace Holdings Philippines, Haresco’s brainchild, is currently the flagship and mother company of several subsidiaries featuring the input of executive figures from countries spanning the globe. As an exporter, Teodorico Haresco has had experience exporting Philippine handicrafts to Switzerland, and also heralds experience in aquaculture. Mr. Teodorico Haresco’s diverse talents and interests have taken him far in his professional life, but Mr. Haresco’s primary focus has always been his family. Happily married, Teodorico Haresco is a proud father of four. A leader and noted contributor to Philippine development, Teodorico Haresco is also a philanthropist: Haresco is the principal developer of a nationwide scholarship fund for the children of slain journalists, and has put 34 young scholars through school since 2007.
