Marcia Hatch attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a B.A. in History in 1993 and the University of Michigan Law School, where she earned a J.D. in 1997. After graduating from law school, Ms. Hatch accepted a position in New York at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, an international law firm that represents numerous financial interests around the globe. In 2003, Marcia Hatch moved to Menlo Park, California to join the Venture Law Group, which subsequently merged with Heller Ehrman LLP. Ms. Hatch is now a partner at the firm of Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian LLP, also located in Menlo Park, California. At Gunderson Dettmer, Ms. Hatch represents both technology companies and venture capitalists looking to fund technology companies. She works with companies in industries ranging from life sciences to IT to clean technologies. Marcia Hatch also works with numerous venture capital firms. She has extensive background in public offerings, private company financings, debt transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Some of Marcia Hatch’s most recent transactions include acting as investors counsel for venture capital firms investing in a privately geothermal lithium mining company, acting as investors counsel in an investment in a clean cement company, acting as investors counsel in an investment in a thin film solar company, acting as company counsel in financings for a privately held solar thermal company and acting as company counsel in a financing for a wireless memory card company.
