Kirk Willett

Football player, coach, financial expert, and philanthropist are all terms that apply to Tampa, Florida’s Kirk Willett. With a life replete with professional, personal, and volunteer activity, he still makes time for family and friends.

During his time at the University of Virginia, Kirk Willett earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology while competing on the school’s football team, the Cavaliers, as a middle and outside linebacker, lettering in 1995 through 1997. Kirk Willett’s significant contributions helped the Cavaliers win the Atlantic Coast Conference championship and defeat Georgia in the Peach Bowl during the 1995 season. Kirk Willett’s Cavaliers reached the Independence Bowl and Carquest Bowl as an upperclassman. Today he lends his football expertise to the local high school team, the Panthers of H.B. Plant High School, as an Assistant Coach and scout. The Panthers varsity team won state championships in 2006, 2008, and 2009, Kirk Willett taking great pride in this notable group of scholar-athletes.

Professionally, Kirk Willett today serves the financial industry as a Regional Vice President of a global financial services firm. There, he consults with financial advisors and consults on sales-driving strategies such as developing key business partnerships. Kirk Willett distributes financial products and services through the wirehouse and regional channels, in addition to leading information seminars for firm personnel on a wide variety of financial subjects including asset allocation, risk management, portfolio selection and theory, and a host of insurance products such as income replacement, wealth transfer retirement, and estate planning. Prior to his current position, Kirk Willett served in a similar role at another global financial institution as a Regional Representative after spending six years in the medical device and pharmaceutical sales industries as a Market Development Consultant.

Kirk Willett firmly believes in giving back and, to that end, donates to such charities as The Salvation Army and Goodwill Industries International, Inc. He also contributes to Hillsborough County's The Spring of Tampa Bay, Inc., a certified domestic violence prevention and emergency shelter agency that offers hope to victims of domestic violence. Professionally, he is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and has earned Florida securities licenses in Series 65, Series 6, Series 31, Series 7, Series 63, and Life, Health and Variable Annuities.
