John Petroci
Dumond Chemicals, Inc. Vice President of Sales and Marketing, John J. Petroci, has been in the paint and protective coatings industry for 25 years. He began his career as sales and branch manager for the Sherwin Williams Company, serving in various outlets throughout the US Northeast. Mr. Petroci left Sherwin Williams briefly to serve four years in the United States Air Force, which included a tour of duty in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. After receiving an honorable discharge, and the Air Force Achievement and National Defense Service Medals, Mr. Petroci returned to the Sherwin Williams Company, where he remained until 1998, when he accepted a promotion with Benjamin Moore & Company. For 5 years, John J. Petroci served at Benjamin Moore & Company as a District Sales Manager in the Atlantic and Northeast Regions. Mr. Petroci’s territories saw a cumulative growth of nearly 15%. Petroci left Benjamin Moore & Company in 2002 after he was hired by the Atlantic Envelope Company as a regional sales manager for the East Coast territory. While there, programs created by Mr. Petroci generated over ten million dollars in new sales, and increased revenue among current customers by nearly a million dollars. John J. Petroci remained at Atlantic Envelope until 2005, when he accepted his current position at Dumond Chemicals. Since beginning at Dumond three years ago, John J. Petroci has made an impressive list of achievements. He not only reversed negative trends in sales, he doubled them in the positive direction. In addition to the income generated by Mr. Petroci’s sales initiatives, he has also helped improve Dumond Chemicals’ brand, by authoring and implementing an ambitious five year strategy which includes rebranding, positioning, developing and advertising the company’s current product line. He also helped launch and promote a revolutionary new product in 2006, which has been a proven success in both sales and practice.
