Mark Donohue
Experienced entrepreneur and private equity investor, Mark Donohue, has founded three successful financial management firms during his 25-year entrepreneurial career. Passionate about environmental protection and energy sustainability, Mark Donohue founded Expansion Capital Partners, LLC, a CleanTech venture capital firm that targets expansion-stage “green” enterprises. Prior to establishing Expansion Capital Partners in September 2001, asset manager Mr. Mark Donohue assisted in growing a number of venture-backed companies, and in the past, Mr. Donohue has held such leadership positions in leading corporations as CEO, Director of Business Development, and Board Chair. The community minded and environmentally active Donohue has spoken at over 25 major Clean Technology conferences and events, including the first-ever Cleantech Venture Network Conference in 2002. Mark Donohue also seeks to influence the decisions of future business leaders by mentoring many college students and encouraging them to be better stewards of the Earth. Investment Management major Mark Donohue graduated from New England’s Babson College with honors in 1988, and he has served as the school’s Board of Overseers since his appointment in 2002; however, Mark’s community service extends far beyond his alma mater. He has been deeply involved in over a dozen non-profits focused on global sustainability, peace, spirituality and public policy. Today, Mr. Donohue is Babson College’s first Clean Technology Entrepreneur-in-Residence. He is primarily teaching, and conducting research, within the F.W. Olin Graduate School and Arthur Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, yet he will also lecture in Babson’s top-ranked executive education programs.
