Arie Genger
Arie Genger is an American businessman with close ties to his native country, Israel.
Born to Devorah and Shraga Genger in Israel, Genger later moved to New York to expand his academic and professional horizons. He attended CUNY (The City University of New York) and earned both his BA and MBA from 1968-1972.
Arie Genger was first given the chance to show his managerial skills when he worked at the Rapid American Corporation as the chairman's assistant. Shortly after starting to work for Rapid American, the company experienced a financial downturn. During the challenging times for the company, Genger was actively involved in reorganizing the organization and ultimately helped to bring the company out of turmoil. Genger was soon promoted to president of one of the company's largest subsidiary, the McCrory Corporation.
After nearly a decade working for The Rapid American Corporation and the McCrory Corporation, Genger was offered a unique opportunity to serve his home country when he was offered posts within the Israel government's defense and economic ministries. He served the Israeli government from 1980 to 1982. It was also during this time that Genger became personally acquainted with Ariel Sharon, the future Prime Minister of Israel. As a friend and personal advisor, Arie Genger maintained his personal and professional relationship with Ariel Sharon for the next twenty years.
Currently, Arie Genger is managing partner of AGDB Holdings LLC, a partner at Sugar Hill Capital Partners, and is the founder of Trans-Resources Inc. AGDB Holdings is a merchant bank that specializes in investing in medium-sized businesses primarily related to the chemical and agricultural industries. Sugar Hill Capital Partners is a fund located in New York City that focuses its activities in identifying, investing, managing, and selling multi-family units. Arie Genger founded Trans-Resources Inc. in 1985 and served as the chairman until 2008. TRI is the parent company of several successful chemical companies including Haifa Chemicals.
