Financial professional Kathleen Corbet possesses an impressive 25 years of experience in her field and currently acts as principal of New Canaan’s Cross Ridge Capital, LLC, a company she started in order to invest in emerging technology companies in the energy and financial services sectors.

Prior to this endeavor, Kathleen Corbet served in several important positions that gave her the expertise needed to open her own firm. At New York’s Equitable Capital Management Corporation, where she worked for a decade, Kathleen Corbet began her career as a Managing Director and eventually rose to the position of Executive Vice President of the Fixed Income Management Division.

She next accepted a role at AllianceBernstein L.P. (formerly Alliance Capital Management, L.P.) in New York, where she enjoyed a series of promotions that eventually led to her post as CEO for the Alliance Fixed Income Division. As CEO, Kathleen Corbet managed more than $160 billion in fixed income portfolios and led both research analysts and portfolio managers. As President at Standard & Poor's Financial Services LLC, a subsidiary of The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc., Kathleen Corbet oversaw 8,000 employees located in 25 countries and led them through an extensive global expansion. She acted as a key player in the acquisition of several companies for Standard and Poor’s, and helped forge affiliations with worldwide partners.

Kathleen Corbet serves on many boards and belongs to numerous professional organizations. She presently works with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company; The Jackson Laboratory; the New Canaan, Connecticut, Board of Finance; the New York Community Trust; and Boston College, just to name a few.

When Kathleen Corbet finds herself with free time, she often dedicates it to charitable causes such as Pro Mujer, a microfinance organization that empowers women living in poverty in Latin America to take control of their lives. In addition, Kathleen Corbet belongs to and supports the Council for Women at Boston College, the League of Women Voters of New Canaan, and the Boston College Wall Street Council.
