Alan T. Stutts
Alan T. Stutts is an educated professional who has dedicated much of his career to working in the education industry. Soon after completing his PhD, Mr. Stutts became the associate dean and professor of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He served in this position for ten years. He took on his next role at the University of Houston Conrad Hilton College, where he was the dean, a professor, and distinguished chair. Perhaps his most notable achievement at this location was his effectiveness in shifting the college’s negative finances and reputation to one of renown and success. Stutts also led a project that ultimately allowed the institution to win multiple consulting engagements. After working at the University of Houston Conrad Hilton College for about eight years, Mr. Stutts went on to join the Art Institute International Minnesota as president. In this position Alan faced financial obstacles and dealt with customer problems. He was able to transform the school’s fiscal woes into positive financial growth within 12 months. He essentially developed a business plan that reinvented the product mix and redefined the distribution channels. Stutts also took on full responsibility for an eight-figure top line revenue and double-digit bottom line, six undergraduate and diploma programs in design and culinary arts at an underperforming campus. In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Stutts strives to create a full life rich with recreational pursuits as well. One activity he enjoys very much is reading. Some of his favorite authors are Tom Clancy and Clive Cussler, and his favorite book is Patriot Games. In addition to reading, as an active individual, Stutts enjoys dining out, sailing, and swimming. He loves sports, and his favorite teams include the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Bulls.
