Shadd Pease
University of Denver (DU) graduate Shadd Pease focused on military analysis and intelligence during his two-year course of studies at DU’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies. In 2011, Pease earned his Master of Arts in International Security, a degree that will allow him to pursue a career in administration, diplomacy, consulting, or civil service. Prior to and while attending graduate school, Shadd Pease served as a police officer with the Denver Police Department. Pease's principle duties included detecting and apprehending violators of the law, conducting investigations and interviews of suspects, and responding to emergency calls. He also issued reports on all activities and offered testimony in court when appropriate.
Following his two years with the police department, Shadd Pease interned briefly with the Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC) as an Intelligence Analyst. At CIAC, Pease demonstrated proficiency in the assessment of security threats to the state of Colorado, and he aided the Colorado State Patrol in maintaining investigative records. He also has spent time as a Personal Trainer for a 24 Hour Fitness club and a Sales Representative for the outdoor sports store REI.
In addition to his degree from DU, Shadd Pease holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Colorado State University-Pueblo. As an undergraduate, Pease belonged to the honor societies Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Sigma Alpha. He made The National Dean's List throughout his years of attendance and graduated summa cum laude in 2006. He also attended several years of training at military schools and completed language courses in Spanish and Serbo-Croatian.
