Peter Carpio
With more than ten years of experience in the legal services industry, Peter Carpio acted as a Litigation and Bankruptcy Associate for New York-based firm, King & Spalding LLP. Carpio’s responsibilities included building defense investigations on behalf of financial institutions and working with attorneys and legal assistants to execute legal cases. Prior to accepting that role, Peter Carpio worked with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP as a summer associate and later as an associate.
Peter Carpio attended Duke University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. During his study at the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences, he made the Dean’s List and earned induction into the Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society. He joined the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and now holds lifetime membership in the Duke Alumni Association. Additionally, Carpio acted as a Student Host for Perspectives on Duke. He went on to study law at St. John’s University School of Law in Jamaica, New York. Prior to graduating cum laude, Carpio made the Dean’s List for three years, and co-authored Modified Estate Transformation: When Does a Chapter 13 Estate Terminate? He also earned the St. John’s University Law Scholarship.
Most recently, Peter Carpio acted as a Support Attorney at Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based firm, Ben-Ezra & Katz, P.A. His duties included communicating case status to clients, drafting motions for summary judgments, and responding to discovery requests.
When he is not working, Peter Carpio enjoys sunbathing, surfing, and walking. He also enjoys watching documentaries and reading.
