James Vanderbeek Telford

Telford, Pennsylvania, resident James Vanderbeek worked hard to attain great success in athletics. Realizing that the only way to achieve his goals was through dedication and perseverance, Mr. Vanderbeek committed himself fully to developing his natural talents by never missing practice in high school and bringing a great attitude with him all the time. While attending Souderton Area High School in Souderton, Pennsylvania, James Vanderbeek became a three-sport athlete, participating in the high jump in track and field, as well as wrestling and football. Remarking on the many talents of James Vanderbeek to a sportswriter for a Pennsylvania newspaper, one of his coaches talked about him in terms of work ethic and attitude. As he described James Vanderbeek, the coach summed up his pride in the student-athlete by saying that he did it all. After achieving All-District honors in track and field, football, and wrestling, as well as qualifying for the regional competition in wrestling, James Vanderbeek wrapped up an impressive high school athletic career with the titles of Mr. Souderton and Best Male Athlete at Souderton Area High School. Moving forward with his pursuit of excellence in sports, Mr. Vanderbeek began competing in mixed martial arts, and he immediately rose to the top of his weight class. After two wins by unanimous decision, Mr. Vanderbeek fought for the New Breed Fighters Welterweight Championship, winning on a knockout in the third round of the One Step Closer fight. In the welterweight division, James Vanderbeek currently holds a 4–0–0 record. In addition to his commitment to athletics, James Vanderbeek also pursues a higher education. James Vanderbeek currently attends Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
