Municipal Court Judge Susan Fornof-Lippencott aids her Ohio community by participating in a variety of public and professional organizations. From her bench, Susan Fornof-Lippencott tries traffic, criminal, small claims, and civil cases in addition to swearing in officials and conducting weddings. Responsible for running the daily business of the Urbana, Ohio court, Susan Fornof-Lippencott also co-creates the annual budget. A believer in correctional rather than punitive measures, Susan Fornof-Lippencott offers offenders alternatives to jail time through her Probation Department initiative. Among her other duties are the swearing-in of officials, including the mayor of Urbana, Champaign County Trustees, Urbana police officers, and the Urbana City Council. From her Urbana home, Susan Fornof-Lippencott likes working outdoors and doing arts and crafts. While maintaining her vegetable and flower garden, Susan Fornof-Lippencott also farms and rides horses. During down time, Susan Fornof-Lippencott sews and makes pottery and macramé crafts.
