Dr. Sasha Stiles
Commanding extensive experience in the medical profession, Dr. Sasha Stiles serves as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Surgery within the Department of Surgery at New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center. Dr. Stiles earned her BA in Ethnomusicology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), her Master of Public Health (MPH) in Administration and Planning from the University of California, Berkeley (UCB), and her MD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Following the acquisition of her MD, Dr. Sasha Stiles fulfilled a family practice residency at Group Health Cooperative in Seattle, Washington, and a high-risk obstetrics fellowship at the Los Angeles County and University of Southern California (LAC+USC) Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Sasha Stiles launched her career after graduating from UCLA, serving as a Coordinator of the Child Health Care Prepayment Plan for children of UCLA students. During her graduate studies, she acted as a Coordinator of HMO Planning at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Upon earning her MD and MPH, Dr. Sasha Stiles relocated to Hawaii, where she spent nearly two decades fulfilling medical duties in a variety of capacities for several organizations.
Initially joining Waimea Plantation Clinic as a Family Practice Clinical Physician, Dr. Sasha Stiles soon supplemented this position with a role as Staff Physician for Planned Parenthood of Hawaii on the island of Kauai. Additional positions she filled include Medical Director of Mahelona Medical Center’s Long-Term Care, Psychiatric Inpatient, and Hospice units; Family Practice Clinical Physician for Aloha Family Care and Straub Clinic & Hospital’s Department of Urgent Care; and Physician in the Department of Family Practice for Kaiser Permanente Hawaii and Kapolei Medical Clinic.
Nearly two decades after earning her MD, Dr. Sasha Stiles completed a fellowship in the Department of Medicine’s Division of Geriatrics at the University of Hawaii’s Kuakini Medical Center. Shortly thereafter, she turned her attention to bariatric surgery, founding and presiding as Facilitator for a long-term support group for patients known as WebStiles. Dr. Sasha Stiles also served as Lead Bariatric Surgery Medical Consultant and Medical Supervisor of the Bariatric Surgery Team for Kaiser Permanente Hawaii.
