David A. Russon

David A. Russon, President and CEO of Investment Management Consultants (IMC), has roots in his Utah community, not only as a business owner but also as an active member of the community. Mr. Russon’s history with The Beehive State is a long one, with his nearly 30 years as an investment advisor. Mr. Russon attended the University of Utah where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication with an emphasis on business and marketing. Upon graduation in 1982, Mr. Russon was hired by Dean Witter Reynolds where he trained and worked as a financial advisor in San Francisco, California.

After eight years, David A. Russon left DWR in an effort to provide greater independence for his clients both in product availability as well as independent research. He spent 18 years of his career at a local Utah-based broker dealer where as Senior Vice President he was honored with the title of “Broker of the Year” multiple times. In addition to being named Advisor of the Year, Dave has been recognized for his outstanding service. Professional money managers have honored Dave with membership to prestigious groups such as: the "Advisors Circle," the "Board of Governors," and the "Executive Council." David A. Russon remained in Salt Lake City to begin IMC, an independent money management firm providing investment advice and guidance to an array of clients. Dave is currently President and CEO of IMC. Mr. Russon works with clients from across the nation and his business knowledge extends to global economic conditions. Recognizing his knowledge in the area, the local news media, such as the Salt Lake Tribune, has often sought his opinion and analysis regarding financial news.

David A. Russon also has become a part of the Utah community through contributions and personal involvement with the charities based within the state. As a board member of the Salt Lake City chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Mr. Russon is a part of the large network of volunteers and staff focused on improving the lives of Utah children who struggle with life-threatening illnesses. Mr. Russon also is actively involved with his college alma mater, HEAL Utah, and CHOICE Humanitarian, all of which are based in Salt Lake City.
