Bruce Scaff
A respected physician with more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Bruce Scaff dedicates his time to advocating for hospice care. With a belief that the benefits of hospice care can be seen in the patients and their families, as well as in the health care community as a whole, Dr. Bruce Scaff has spent much of his career contributing to the field. By following a philosophy of care that goes beyond conventional treatments to include a full range of wellness support for terminally ill individuals and their families, Dr. Bruce Scaff has assisted many people in working through difficult situations. Pursuing a successful career as an emergency room physician, Dr. Bruce Scaff also finds the time to undertake hospice care and volunteer work. Currently, Dr. Bruce Scaff applies his expertise at several emergency rooms throughout Texas, working about a dozen shifts a month. For more than two decades, Dr. Bruce Scaff served the Goodall-Witcher Healthcare Foundation Hospital, where he functioned as Medical Director at many facilities, including Clifton Nursing and Rehabilitation. While serving the Clifton Clinic Family Practice, Dr. Bruce Scaff focused on pediatrics and obstetrics. In addition to delivering more than 1,500 babies, Dr. Bruce Scaff performed hundreds of procedures as the primary surgeon for cesarean sections, as well as dilation and curettage. Dr. Bruce Scaff received his Doctor of Medicine from the Southwestern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Dallas, Texas. Undertaking postgraduate work, Dr. Bruce Scaff completed the Corpus Christi Family Practice Residency Program and served as Chief Resident for one year. Certified through the American Board of Family Practice, Dr. Bruce Scaff also serves as a Diplomat of the board. Dr. Bruce Scaff also functions as an administrator for the Texas Personal Assistance Services Agency, an organization aimed at providing disabled individuals with the tools they need to accomplish everyday tasks through personalized assistance services. Dr. Bruce Scaff currently resides in Austin with his wife, where enjoys spending time with his children and grandchild. In his free time, he pursues volunteer work.
