Alissa Ohashi
Actively pursuing her career ambitions in public relations, Alissa Ohashi is currently studying strategic communication at Ohio State University. Alissa Ohashi anticipates earning her Bachelor of Arts in June 2012. Coursework that is relevant to her major include Communication Research Methods, Public Communication, Persuasive Communication for Public Speaking, and Advertising and Society. Alissa Ohashi holds personal strengths in both written and verbal communication, Internet research, and social media. She possesses language skills that include a functional understanding of Spanish. Supplementing her studies at Ohio State University, Alissa Ohashi recently volunteered with the Columbus Literary Council and has taught several English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.
Beyond her academic qualifications, Alissa Ohashi holds diverse work experience. Most recently, she served as a Public Relations Practitioner for Buckeye Bullet of the Ohio State University. Her work entailed creating advertising campaigns, offering strategic assistance for special events and social media networking, and conducting research regarding the issues affecting organization’s development. Alissa Ohashi’s recent work experience also includes serving as a Street Team Member of CW Columbus, a Manager and Brand Ambassador for DBC America, and a Manager for Pop’s Pizza.
Alissa Ohashi currently resides in North Lewisburg, Ohio. In her free time, she enjoys developing her hobbies of writing, volunteering in the community, and coaching basketball. In 2011, she coached a seventh grade girls’ basketball team that won its conference to become OHC champions. Alissa Ohashi also enjoys pursuing her passion for traveling. Recently, she visited such destinations as New York City, Miami, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta. She hopes to find the opportunity to visit Japan in the near future.
