Alfred Walendowski Attorney
About Alfred Walendowski
Attorney Alfred Walendowski attended Ithaca College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in June 1993. He was then accepted to Brooklyn Law School, where he completed his Juris Doctor in June 1996. After passing the bar exam and becoming a member of the New York State Bar Association, Mr. Walendowski opened his law offices in Melville, New York in February 1997. He has since practiced there for nearly 15 years, advising clients in a wide range of legal issues including questions of transactional, commercial, and civil law.
In addition to transactional and litigation matters, Alfred Walendowski has negotiated financing for large scale real estate projects, including multi-million dollar undertakings. Mr. Walendowski's extensive experience in financing includes negotiations with equity, debt, and mezzanine financing arrangements. Alfred Walendowski provides his services as an attorney to both individuals and corporations around New York. He also advises both lenders and borrowers in issues surrounding commercial and residential lending transactions, mortgages, and foreclosures.
Since opening his practice in 1997, Mr. Walendowski has closed more than a thousand real estate transactions, including large commercial contracts over $30 million. As a respected member of the New York legal community, most of Mr. Walendowski's client referrals come from business professionals and other attorneys. Recently, Mr. Walendowski has obtained a number of favorable results for his clients in matters surround foreclosure. In September 2010, he took on a client whose lender had already obtained a judgement of foreclosure and sale and had set a date to sell the client's home.
Within three days of being retained by the client, Alfred Walendowski had obtained an order from the Supreme Court of the State of New York in Nassau County to prevent the bank from selling his client's home. As the attorney in the case, he then forced the lender to appear in court and determine whether a modification of the client's loan was possible. As a result of this action, Mr. Walendowski's client was able to keep her home despite the lender's efforts to foreclose and force her out. In his spare time, Alfred Walendowski enjoys spending time outside, skiing and boating. He also enjoys reading and lists George F. Will among his favorite authors.
