Nicole Hayre
Award winning dermatologist and Director of the Cosmetic Dermatology Center Dr. Nicole Hayre continually makes significant contributions to the field of scientific research. Remaining committed to developing breakthroughs in dermatological treatments, Dr. Nicole Hayre has participated in research and lab work throughout her career. As a Research Assistant, Dr. Nicole Hayre has performed enzyme digestions and gel electrophoresis at an MIT laboratory. Additionally, Dr. Nicole Hayre has performed lab work with Merck & Co., Inc.’s Division of Molecular Immunology, and the National Institutes of Health’s National Human Genome Research Institute. Throughout a strong research career, Dr. Nicole Hayre has successfully mapped cancer genes and worked alongside some of the most renowned biologists in the world, including the leader of the Human Genome Project, Dr. Francis S. Collins. Making several discoveries of her own, Dr. Nicole Hayre has worked hard to enhance knowledge of melanoma cells. After developing a RT-PCR assay for the detection of tyrosinase in peripheral blood, Dr. Nicole Hayre has directed the assay toward detecting multiple malignant melanoma markers through the use of RNA extraction, reactions of RNA transcription to double-stranded DNA, and polymerase chain reactions. Discoveries by Dr. Nicole Hayre will go a long way toward aiding the scientific and medical communities in understanding, detecting, and preventing the occurrence of life-threatening melanoma. Dr. Nicole Hayre's work “Detection of Circulating Tyrosinase mRNA by Real-Time Flourometric RT-PCR Assay” was on display at multiple conferences, including the 31st annual meeting of the European Society for Dermatological Research. Additionally, Dr. Nicole Hayre has presented “Detection of Circulating Malignant Melanoma Cells in Peripheral Blood by Real-Time PCR Assay” to the American Academy of Dermatology. A regular voice in the field of dermatology, Dr. Nicole Hayre has given many presentations and her work has been presented to renowned societies such as the American Thyroid Association, the International Thyroid Congress, and The Endocrine Society.
