Frank Svatousek
A resident of Canada, Frank Svatousek frequently gives back to his hometown of Oakville, Ontario, through charities like Kerr Street Ministries, which provides a food bank and community center to less fortunate individuals in the area. In the late 1990s, Mr. Svatousek lived and worked in Sri Lanka, which was going through a civil war; during this time, he experienced first-hand the importance of taking care of one's community and neighbors. In Sri Lanka, he served as General Manager for Multivision Pvt. Ltd., the country's first cable television network. In two years, Frank Svatousek grew the network to an audience of 20,000 viewers, due in part to secured content distribution deals with popular networks like ESPN and HBO.
After returning from Sri Lanka, Frank Svatousek continued to work with satellite television and Internet service providers before becoming Director of Business Development at Mint Technology Corporation. At Mint Technology, which he co-founded, Frank Svatousek negotiated the first bank identification number sponsorship agreement with a Canadian bank, allowing for the launch of prepaid cards for payroll or service purposes. While this practice has become increasingly popular in the United States, official restrictions in Canada make the process quite difficult, which serves as a testament to Mr. Svatousek's reputation and success.
Since then, he has also helped establish Carta Worldwide, which offers prepaid cards for use in a variety of industries primarily in Canada and Europe. Currently offering volunteer services at a long-term care facility for Alzheimer's patients like his mother, Frank Svatousek remains sympathetic to others experiencing the difficulties of caring for a loved one with this affliction. Frank Svatousek takes care of himself with a regular fitness routine, which keeps him in shape as he continues his world travels. An avid photographer, he enjoys capturing urban landscapes in Oakville, Hong Kong, and elsewhere.
