Vic Mankotia
As Symantec Corporation’s Vice President of Security Sales and Pre-Sales Engineering Services for Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ), Vic Mankotia was responsible for driving the growth of the sales and deployment of Symantec software solutions in the region. Part of the Symantec team since 2000, Vic Mankotia lead his Sales Engineers using market models that combine geographical knowledge with technical expertise. Vic Mankotia reported directly to the Senior Vice President of APJ and headed a specialized sales organization that handles Information Risk Management, Compliance Solutions, and Managed Security Services. Maintaining a productive balance between the business unit and field sales, Vic Mankotia worked with Symantec clients in APJ to help them secure information and manage it using resilient organizational infrastructures. Prior to joining Symantec, Vic Mankotia held positions at FedEx, Xerox Corporation, IBM, and Software Spectrum Inc., working in both Australia and the United States. A featured speaker at Security World 2009, Vic Mankotia is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the Australian Institute of Management. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Vic Mankotia contributes to the Salvation Army, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and CARE. In his free time, Vic Mankotia enjoys playing polo, reading, and pursuing his interests in model railways and Ducati motorcycles. His favorite authors are Fareed Zakaria, Richard H. Thaler, and Stephen Baker.
