Shauny McElhenny
Shauny McElhenny began her college education at the University of Alabama, majoring in International Studies. With a minor in Italian, she went on to graduate cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in 2006. Shauny McElhenny decided to further her schooling by entering Saint Xavier University in the summer of 2008. She earned a 3.55 GPA, graduated cum laude, and received the prestigious Academic Achievement Award. While studying at the University of Alabama, Shauny McElhenny participated in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, where she developed leadership skills. Giving back has always been an important part of McElhenny's life, from her involvement in clothing drives for children and veterans to her support of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure organization. Shauny McElhenny enjoys a diverse range of interests in her spare time. Being active is particularly important as she engages in a wide range of sporting activities including running, weightlifting, and intramural sports. As a football fan, McElhenny’s time at Alabama gave her a particular affinity for Alabama Crimson Tide football and legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant. Besides enjoying the outdoors, she spends time listening to classic rock and reading mystery novels.
